"I want to thank Herwig Schmidts for giving our Aviation Explorers Post (KPWK) a great tour of your facility in May. It is great to see such a dedicated group keeping such important pieces of history flying. We hope to see you at Oshkosh this year. Our group, and the other Aviation Explorer posts from around the country, volunteer as ground support on the Taxiways at Oshkosh, so please give us a wave when you fly in as we point you to the warbirds area."

Had a fun visit with your Dad anfd he gave me the website address. They do restorations at the Danville Airport and I went out to see an inaugural flight of a P51. The pilot flew down from Chicago in a Grumman Avenger. Quite exciting. Great Website and I will visit again.

"It was fantastic. This was my first time at an airplane museum and our tour guide, Mr. Schmidts did a great job. My friend and I were thoroughly impressed. He's even convinced me to try to get a pilot's license. Thanks for the wonderful experience. I would recommend others to try it and I would do it again myself."
