The picture of the corsair on the flight deck was taken in Rino air races. This was before Bob Mitchem fried the engine and before the more drastic cut off of the wing tips.

Please let me sign your guest book in order to obtain future newslettters. I have been interestead in all types of flying since I soloed at age 16 I am now 67 with over 1200hrs in fixed and rotary aircraft. CFI-A Comm..Inst ASMEL Rotorywing Owned a Piper J-5A 90 hp for 10years N40713. I now own and operate a 1994 Nordic Tug 32 on the Illinois River on which i would love to trade time ect. "The three photos you have the FG-1 Corsair that show it in "storage" were actually taken at Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum in Denver, CO. We are located on the old Lowry Air Force base, and had the Corsair on display for many years. As curator, I helped get her on the truck to come to you guys to begin the next phase of her life. She looks great! We can "store" her anytime you need the space. ;)"
