"Good to see some of the old warbirds that I remember well! I was an aircraft mechanic on the A1 Skyraider during the Vietnam conflict. Served three tours at DaNang, Tan Son Nhut (Saigon) and Nakhon Phanom, Thailand. Best aircraft I ever worked on and it's a pleasure to see they haven't been forgotten."

"I had an absolutely amazing time during my visit. As an student studying to be an aerospace engineer and someone who has always been interested in World War 2 history, it was more than I could have hoped for. There was so much interesting information to take in and everyone was extremely friendly. 10/10. I hope I'll be able to visit again sometime."

"Today we had the treat of a life time, visiting your hangar with our Bear scouts. There interest was captured by the outstanding presentation and treatment of our tour guide, he was very informative and gave a great tour to the boys. He left myself feeling as if I were actually one of the pilots who flew the aircraft. His concerns for safety and education was truly dedicated to the aircraft and the tour itself. I left your hangar today with only one wish in my mind, And that would be able actually watch these planes take off , fly and maneuver. I would bet that it would really be a great show to see at first hand. Thanks to our guide and the foundation for what made wintery day, a fun filled and educational time. 5 Stars Rating for all! Raymond Noble Jr. Cub Scout Pack 328 Salem, Wisconsin."

"In September work took me north of Chicago so I drove up to Waukegan, IL and reached out to the Warbird Heritage Foundation. A private, non-profit, Warbird Heritage Foundation (WHF) exists to acquire, restore and fly historic American military aircraft. Not open to the public, I was able to make an appointment to meet the terrific maintenance staff who also flies many of the collection. Head mechanic Sean Roarty brought me in to the main hangar—a sparkling, gorgeous facility--to see some of their amazing airplanes. The folks there were just great and treated me like an old friend—if you ever get up to the west side of Lake Michigan, give them a call."

"The work you do is amazing! It's also very important because there is a need to keep these planes flying. I've been interested in military aircraft since WWII -- I was a kid in elementary school who spent my summers at my grandmother's cottage on Grosse Ile, MI, just off one of the runways at the Grosse Ile Naval Air Station. After the war ended my older brother was old enough to join the Naval Air Reserve at Grosse Ile. He worked on the flight line -- Helldivers, Corsairs and PBYs. Wow! He also flew as a radioman-gunner on the Helldivers and PBYs. Wonderful. He crashlanded in a Helldiver, belly landing, everyone was OK. He got me hooked with all his aviation stories. He was on active duty at Jacksonville NAS during the Korean War. He finally bought a Taylorcraft and took me up for my first flight in it. Through him I gained my interest in military aviation. Keep up the work you do -- as I said, I feel it's very important!"
