Military History

The L-19A Bird Dog, a derivative of the Cessna 170, was designed to be used for reconnaissance and forward air control. Bird Dogs were operated by the U.S. Army, USMC, and USAF. Over 3,200 of them were built between 1950 and 1959. The L-19A saw action in the Korean War and the Vietnam War.
